If you have specific questions about Dr. Hong or his program, please email to email@example.com.
Who benefit the most from the program?
A: This program is specially designed for highly sensitive person (HSP) with highly sensitive body (HSB) who often react to medications and natural remedies differently from other people. This is a group of adults and children with sensitivities and who are least understood by conventional medicine. Common health concerns they tend to deal with include chronic inflammation, allergy and asthma, food intolerance, anxiety and depression, hormone imbalances, stresses, fatigue, insomnia, auto-immune conditions, childhood diseases and autistic spectrum disorder.
What is the philosophy of our practice?
A: We believe in helping the body to gain back its original self-healing ability in the long run. We don’t believe taking medications or natural supplementation forever. We believe in the partnership of patient and doctor in healing. We believe in patient education and lifestyle changes. All of our staff is accessible to you. Patients can never ask too many questions. Last but not least, we want to heal people one at a time, so they can help those around them living in a healthier life as well. To achieve this goal we limit the number of patients we see each day to ensure that we give our patients our full energy and attention.
What is the Individualized Mind-Body Therapy?
A: Individualized Body-Mind Therapy (IBMT) is developed by Dr. Harry Hong over many years of practicing holistic medicine. It is a three-stage healing program helping body regain the ability to heal. He believes that any chronic disease is consists of many layers of issues. The outer layer is always the chaotic layer, characterized by high toxin, high inflammation and dysfunctional immune response. Without solving this layer of problem, any attempt to treat inner layer issues, which are toxins and deficiencies, will have to face many difficulties during the therapy. Solving the first layer problem with immune system reprogramming and homeopathic cellular energy recharge and drainage support makes the future therapy of detoxification and regeneration much more effective and efficient.
How is Dr. Hong’s program different from other holistic therapies?
A: Dr. Hong combined traditional Chinese medicine, homeopathy, immune system reprogramming, energy medicine and conventional Western theories and developed a comprehensive healing program. He evaluates each patient and decides which modality or combinations are best for you. You always get the synergistic effect from different modalities and obtain the best clinical result.
We’ve tried all those
therapies Dr. Hong uses, why was there not enough improvements?
A: Dr. Hong emphasizes on the timing, sequence and synergetic effect of these therapies. His three-stage energetic program is unique and specially designed for patients with sensitivities. His approach focuses on precision and total individualization, which is perfect for the ever-change nature of the highly sensitive body.
What is the immune system reprogramming (ISR)
A: Immune system reprogramming (ISR), a modified version of NAET and BioSET, is a back-tapping technique based on the theories of acupressure and homeopathy. This technique is used not only for desensitizing sensitivities but balancing meridians as well. Dr. Hong modifies the original technique by introducing home-tapping and self-tapping procedures to speed up the healing process. Meanwhile, ISR is only one of the techniques in IBMT and is used primarily for addressing the first layer of chaotic stage. Later therapies of detoxification and regeneration ensure that ISR has long lasting result.
What is the energetic testing and electrodermal screening?
A: Electrodermal screening is a computerized technique detecting skin conductivity changes on acupuncture points. It is a fast, cost effective and non-invasive energetic test used to evaluate meridian balance and functional status of associated organs and systems. It helps the practitioner to determine what supplements can be used to balance the body and to identify food and environmental sensitivities as well.
What is the difference between energy evaluation and conventional
physical exam such as blood work and X-ray?
A: Energy evaluation and sensitivity testing can not substitute conventional physical exam. Conventional physical exam is good at detecting structural and chemical level problems (such as a tumor and high blood sugar, respectively), while energy testing checks energy level blockage, which appears prior to chemical and structural level change. But energy evaluation may not be helpful to find out if you have diabetes or a tumor.
What should I do if I have a reaction to the remedies?
A: There are two reasons to reaction of remedies. First is called polarity switch, which is an energetic problem and can be effectively prevented and treated. Second reason may be an “over-dosage effect” rather than reactions. It means that some people need much smaller dosage than others. We will teach you to carefully screen for the dosage that is right for you, so your body will be comfortable with the natural remedies. Moreover, energy testing may eliminate lots of remedies that may cause problems for the patient during the balance process.
Will the sensitivities and allergies ever come back after I finish
A: Yes, they will, unless you make some changes in your lifestyle and stay healthy. It believes that sensitivities are originally caused by toxins around us, food indigestion, leaky gut and adrenal deficiency due to constant stresses in life. Since toxins and stresses are two major reasons that cause allergy and other immune disorders, staying away from toxins and learn to de-stress in life are necessary to keep allergies away permanently. At our clinic, we coach you and hold your hand during that journey.
What does Dr. Hong think about nutritional supplements patients may
A: Good nutritional supplements are necessary for the body to heal. However, it is the timing that makes the difference. Supplements that you are allergic to can add to your problem and increase your body’s inflammation level. Dr. Hong believes that solving the outer layer problem is the first priority. Supplementation is necessary to help inner layer deficiency. Conventional nutrition theory believes that supplementation is the first choice if the patient is deficient with some nutrients. Dr. Hong thinks that finding the cause of that deficiency is more important than supplementation. Some vitamin and mineral deficiencies are results of allergies and metabolic blockages. Supplementation won’t solve the problem completely, but addressing the immune dysfunction will do.
